What a blessing it is to be a part of Forward Training Center where we as volunteers are a part of an organization that inspires life changing events in individuals. Nothing touches my heart more than having a part in helping someone to grow, become an independent adult and find hope for their future – that’s what it is all about! Forward Training Center is not only a blessing to the students but to me, as a volunteer, too!

– Shelley (Volunteer)

There is no better way to LOVE people than to encourage them to move toward their best self…the person God created them to be!  Each FTC Graduate is a light in our community that inspires hope and growth.  These values are important to my family. We want our daughters to see that this is the kind of LOVE that changes people and makes us all stronger!

– Amber (Volunteer)

The Forward Training Center has transformed my life. The Jobs for Life Course gave me the skills to move forward. I am confident and proud of the changes in myself and my life. The team of mentors show how much they care for the students by following and helping each and everyone through the JFL program. I’m thrilled with the accomplishments I have achieved.

– Valinda (Student)

I love being a volunteer at FTC, especially the JFL program. It’s a blessing to be able to help someone move from a place of darkness and hopelessness to a place of confidence and hope, and show them they have value and worth. The light you shine on them comes back even brighter on you!

– Lori (Volunteer)

Over the years being a  volunteer technology instructor has been a very rewarding experience especially when you witness the light bulb going off and the student understands and can complete the task.  It instills a level of confidence not seen before.  They complete the course with the knowledge that although not an expert they know enough to problem solve and get the job done.
