Forward Training Center of Hood County offers a variety of excellent classes for adults centrally located right here in our community. Did we mention they are free? Our instructors are highly trained and eager to help our community grow through education and opportunity growth!
This organization began with a goal to turn the tides on unemployment and poverty in Hood County. Through many different educational and training opportunities, Forward Training Center lays the foundation for adults to begin to grow their confidence and career.
Our numbers have doubled in recent years. No other agency or organization offers such a comprehensive approach to assist members of our community. Through the gracious, selfless support of local churches, businesses, agencies and volunteers, we are thrilled to say that we now offer more classes than ever before to meet this growing need.

Classes begin in August with a full list of in-depth computer classes! We truly have something for everyone who is looking to gain more computer skills for their career. Computer Basics, Email 101, Windows 10, and Microsoft Word begin mid-August! Quickbooks, Microsoft Powerpoint and Excel kick off in September and October! Call today to reserve your spot, we have limited computers and these classes almost always fill up.
Did you know it is not only possible, but encouraged to take more than one course at Forward Training Center? Some of our classes include meet and greets and ceremonies. Our students and volunteers truly begin to feel like a family throughout the process.
Some of our other popular classes include GED Prep/ESL, Jobs for Life, Faith and Finance, Healthy cooking classes, and Adult Literacy! Jobs for Life kick off in September. This is one of our most popular and beneficial courses, and requires highly trained instruction and the official Jobs for Life curriculum.
As a 501c3 nonprofit, our classes are completely free to students. Some require a $10 registration fee that is returned upon completion of the course. Call today to sign up for upcoming classes and reserve your seat!
